Seeing Shepard Fairey’s collaboration with French street artist WK Interact may have been beyond your budget, but there’s good news. Signed prints from the shows are now available at Fairey’s Obey site. From Obey:

These prints were made for the Agnes B::OBEY::WK INTERACT Collaborative Exhibition that took place in Tokyo and Paris of this year. We happen to get our hands on a few of the prints after they were only available at the exhibitions and now they are available to all of you! For those who don’t know, Shorpy the 100-Year-Old Photo Blog is a great place to get lost for a few hours looking at brilliant pictures of yesteryear.

The World War II gallery, in particular, houses an impressively generous group of photos of airmen and antique planes and machine guns. Anthony Ventura has a nice collection of hip retro-style illustrations in his portfolio at Evolve-R. Though crude and demented, they capture the imagination with rich colors, grainy textures and smart patterns creating a visual web of trashy eye-candy. And who can beat Ventura’s twisted themes, full of tattooed half-human characters, skulls, sex, violence and muscle cars?
